Quick, but gigantic Post

Introducing: Midnight Savari

Indonesia-based producer Ken Adhitya aka Midnight Savari just released his new ”Pinisi” EP on Sydney label Death Strobe and upon first listen I’m hooked. The title track is a Balearic disco jam that will suck you dry, but the real gem is the track ”Rimshots”, a rumbling retro number that’s gold due to the simple short synth loop and 808 kick-snare combo.

And with a 9 minute remix from disco heroes The C90s, things just don’t get any better.

Louis La Roche – Single

A couple of days ago the legendary disco house producer we know as Louis La Roche released his newest single ”My Turn”, on Ever After Records and it features the passionate, soulful vocals by Modjo‘s Yann Destal which is PFC.

The track itself is pure Louis, and is perfect mojito drinking dance floor music that pretty much screams ”get down”. It comes with a great remix from Vanguard, that is a little more intense but still extremely enjoyable.

Introducing: Nile Delta

Nile Delta is the solo project of Joel Dickson, former member of Riot In Belgium and 1 half of the Cutters duo, Voltage. After a stint producing other peoples music, it was only a matter of time before he released some of his own.

His debut EP, Channel / All has just been released on Cutters and features the two title tracks as well as remixes from Chicken Lips and Tornado Wallace. While both tracks are splendid in their own right, the sheer attitude of the bassline in ”All This”, as well as the fact that Ben Browning from Cut Copy is providing some vocal work makes this track stand out beyond the other.

Louis La Roche Revamps DJ Falcon

Yes, you read correctly.

”Honeymoon”, originally featured on DJ Falcon‘s 1999 EP Hello My Name Is DJ Falcon, and released on the label close to everyone’s hearts, Roulé, has been revamped or, if you will, ”Modernized” by 24 year Norwich born French house pioneer Louis La Roche.

Re-sampling and adding modern synths and bass, Louis La Roche will bring sweet nostalgia to all those disco partying 90s teens.

Introducing: Might

Might is a nu-disco producer based in California. He is all about disco, and has just released an upbeat EP on OMG! Records. The EP, titled ‘Stomping Grounds’, is hardly about stomping – more like shaking and grooving, and comes with two funky originals and two equally as funky remixes.

Although the originals are terrific, personally I’ve been bouncing around to both the remixes from Aniki and Nightriders.

Go mental, don’t stomp though, just boogie!

Teenage Bad Girl – Keep Up With You

After nearly 4 years and one of the most influential albums for the genre ‘French touch’,  production duo Teenage Bad Girl are back with a new track and new release. ”Keep Up With You” is an intelligent electropop track that drifts from slow vocoded chords to an electronic guitar filled chorus and the track comes complete with a guitar solo. Impressive.

With the same radio potential and dance floor strength as Duck Sauce‘s ”Barbra Streisand”, except with much more credibility comes Cassian‘s soon-to-be-released track ”I Like What You’re Doing” and the EP of the same name. Quite possibly my new favourite track of 2011, ”I Like What You’re Doing” packs the funk, delivers the soul and will loosen even the stiffest hips.
