The Magician – New Single

Ever since his work with Aeroplane and his first remix under The Magician, Stephen Fasano has been one of my favourite producers. To this day ”Twist”, his collaboration with Yuksek, is one of my most listened to songs.

So when I heard the news of his first single is being released, I almost died. “I Don’t Know What To Do”, featuring Jeppe from Junior Senior on vocals, channels the very best of Alphabeat merges it with his delectable synths and pianos, creating some wonderful pop that will reaffirm his legion of fans and introduce many new ones.

“I Don’t Know What To Do” will be released on October 3 via Kitsuné with remixes by Plastic Plates and Fabian.

It’s pretty special.

Introducing: Scenic

Australia. 2011 seems to be seeing you well. Scenic is yet another great band to come out of the wonderfully sunny country. Their tremendously amazing single ”Another Sky” is sophisticated, and very much beautiful. It makes me want to lie in a field and stare at the clouds, contemplating things that make me happy.

Peter & The Magician – Twist EP

I’m going to be honest with you. I still have not got over ”Twist” by Peter & The Magician, it’s been on repeat for the last week. A truly splendid nu-disco tune, made by two of the best in the business, the track has already been played by a multitude of DJs around the world and is featured on the newest Kitsune Compilation and it’s popularity continues to grow.

That is the good news.

The even better news is Kitsune is releasing the delectable single June 20th and with it comes with not one, but two attractive B-sides,  “La Fiorentina” and “Love In Rimini”. I’ve had a chance to listen to both, and although I was a little disappointed greedy to be expecting them to be as good as ”Twist”, they are still spectacular nu-disco tracks and defintely worth a listen or ten.

The Magician x Yuksek

If you haven’t already heard ”Twist” by Peter (Yuksek) & The Magician you are in for a pleasurable surprise. I have been away in the middle of nowhere for over a month now, and this greeted me when I returned. Suffice to say, ”Twist” has been on repeat for the last few days which has resulted in me shimmy-walking everywhere.

”Twist” is out now on the new Kitsuné Compilation.

Introducing: The Magician

The Magician is Stephen Fassano. You might know him as the guy who used to be in Aeroplane, or by his already popular and highly loved Magic Tape Series – either way, he doesn’t really need too much introducing and you should all bow to his magical powers (producing music).

Most of us have been anticipating a release or remix of some kind from Stephen for some time, however luckily for us the wait is over. Yep, January 2011 sees the release of my new favourite band The Aikiu‘s new single ”The Red Kiss” which will feature The Magician on remix duties.
