Toro Y Moi (Remixes)

I’ve got two remixes from the crew over at Discotextas of the new Toro Y Moi single ”Still Sound” taken from his new album Underneath The Pine. LazyDisco (also known as Rockets) and Xinobi, both provide us with chilled out, yet danceable remixes of the track.

Tapeaters’ Satellite

It’s been a while since we have had anything to report on Russian synthpop duo The Tapeaters. About two weeks ago, they released their debut album Visions on OMG! Recordings. To make way for the album, they released the first single off the album, ”Satellite” in November. The sexual, catchy and ridiculously funky track has been playing on my iPod ever since.

The single comes with remixes by some big players, with Lifelike, Ghost Of Venice and Xinobi providing some excellent reworks.

Japanese by Xinobi

Portuguese  disco house producer Xinobi seems to have gone in another direction with his latest track, ‘Japanese’. The track was just released on Discotexas, and I have to say, it’s something else. I’ve had it on repeat for the last half hour. It’s more of a journey than a dance number. It’ll get you looking out your window, thinking about things more than they should be thought about. Ya know?

Shiny Disco Club – Millenium Disco Vol 1

Shiny Disco Club is a new electronic music label founded in June 2010 by Nicolas Masson & Paul Perrault. Yesterday, they released their very first Disco house compilation, Millenium Disco Vol 1 completely free.

Now although they don’t seem to know how to spell, they have masterfully conjured up this brilliant compilation full of brand spanking new tracks from the likes of Louis La Roche, Moonchild, Rockets and much MUCH more, which totally gets my smiling.

While your waiting for them all to download, you can preview the tracks on SoundCloud. Now I don’t know about you, but today is Christmas for me all over again.
